Singer Felipe Araújo had trouble trying to arrive at the pre-São João da Thay dinner, which took place in São Luís (MA), on Monday night (27/6). According to Quem Magazine, Felipe's plane had to turn around twice, due to bad weather, before arriving in the capital of Maranhão.
The flight was scheduled for 5pm, but it only took place at 8pm. The singer was leaving Bahia and needed to stop in Fortaleza (CE), before heading to Maranhão. “It was a struggle to get here. We spent more than an hour waiting in Fortaleza. Then we came back again. I was so sleepy I didn't even see it. It was a lot of rain, really. But in the end everything worked out”, said Felipe.

He is one of the main attractions at São João da Thay, a traditional event among celebrities, organized by influencer Thaynara OG that takes place this Tuesday (28/6). “I am very happy to be part of this party. Thay has been calling me for three years and I have never been able to balance my schedule and come. But this year, even with all the unforeseen events, I couldn’t miss it,” he said.
Even though he arrived late due to an unforeseen flight, Felipe still enjoyed the end of the party. “I'm going to drink a few to warm up, but I need to hold on because there's a show tomorrow. I made a special repertoire for this São João season, with forró and many from my DVD Clube do Araújo. It’s a new show that people will love,” he told Quem.
